Where is Poets Corner?

Poets Corner is located on the corner of Burns and Wordsworth Street, a few minutes walk from the centre of town, or the vibrant Arts Factory. It is situated in a quiet, residential area close to the beaches, pubs, restaurants, Woolworth's, bus station, post office and cafes.

There is a children's park 20 metres from the house, and a natural rainforest walk through pristine wetlands next to the house. Flora and fauna in abundance in Byron, the jewel in the crown of the Northern Rivers Region. If you are coming for the Blues N Roots, New Years or Splendour in the Grass festivals, you can either walk to the venue or catch a bus a short walk from the front door.


Pet and Child Friendly

The pet and child friendly cottage, has a high brushwood fence all around offering privacy and ensures your pet's containment. The cottage has all conveniences, including dishwasher, microwave, CD/stereo, DVD, VHS, TVs in bedrooms and lounge, en suites off both bedrooms, barbecue, heaters and fans.

The rear patio area has a shade sail and large outdoor dining suite overlooking a large garden, whereas the front porch has a couch and cosy chairs and tables for sitting and reading the papers.


Pet Friendly Accommodation

Belongil Beach is just 10 minutes walking away - this is a pet friendly beach to romp and play with your dog.

 

Adventures and Activities

If you are into adventure sports, you can walk to the kayaks, learn to surf schools, scuba shops, scuba diving around Julian Rocks etc. From May till October our guests can watch the whales on their yearly migration. Spectacular dolphin and whale watching from the lighthouse is a must!

Don't forget the Byron Markets just around the corner - 1st Sunday of the month, as well as every Thursday morning from 8am there is the local Farmers Market, a gourmet feast of fresh produce.

It is ideal family holiday accomodation, and superbly located for the Byron Bay Festivals – East Coast Blues N Roots, Byron Bay Writers Festival and Splendour in the Grass Festival.

Want a great night out – then just walk to the Byron Bay Arts Factory for terrific food, live entertainment and movies.

We recommend that you spend a least one sunrise/sunset on the beach - a truly romantic and spiritual experience. We’re close to everything including other hotels and motels.

1-5 minute walk to town. 5-10 minute walk to the beach.

From the highway, take the turn off to Byron Bay. As you enter the town, the hospital will be on your right hand side. Take the next right hand turn past the police station. Pass over a small bridge. On your right will be a large public field, take the second road on your right, called BURNS Street. Drive to the end of the street, and immediately in front of you, before it dog-legs left is a large brush fence and a yellow house.

Bookings

A 50 % deposit is required on booking. The balance of monies, along with the bond are due one month before check in. A bond is required from all guests, or a valid credit card to hold against the bond. Large groups must pay up to a $1,500 bond. Bond refunded within one week of check out, subject to no damages and adherence to good conduct.
